If you use the Tarteel app to memorize or recite, then you must have seen different color highlights in the Quran reader. In this article, we will define what each color means!
1- Words highlighted in Red
The words that are highlighted in Red are the words that were detected as mistakes while you were reciting or memorizing. That way, when you review the Surah or re-read the page, you'll be able to identify the words that you made mistakes reciting during your session.
These words are also available in the Summary Session when you tap on the mistakes and see them highlighted in Red to distinguish them from the rest of the Ayahs accordingly. You can see in the GIF below how the word was highlighted in Red when a mistake was detected.
2- Words with a Yellow background
These are the words that you peeked at while reciting in memorization mode. The main benefit from this is to let you know what words have you peeked at to help remind you of the Ayah to determine the weak areas of memorization in the Surah and better memorize them insha'Allah.
You can see in the GIF below how the word turned into that Orange/Yellow color when assistance was used to peek at the word, and how it says that this is a word that you peeked at when you tap on that word.
If you also enable "Highlight Mistakes" in the Quran reader, you'll see the areas where you had mistakes highlighted in different background color as shown in the screenshot below
3- Words highlighted in Green
As the Tarteel AI follows along with your recitation in the memorization mode, the words will show in Green color which indicates you recited them correctly! This is demonstrated in the GIF above during the recitation of Surah Al Mulk.
4- Words highlighted in Yellow
- This is mainly to highlight the words where you had Tashkeel mistakes!
- Please see the GIF below to clarify the difference in color between Red (Mistake in reciting the word as in pronunciation), and Yellow (Mistake in Tashkeel)
