Why is the Kasra missing?

Every so often, we receive some feedback that there’s a kasra missing from the Quranic script being used on Tarteel. More specifically, it’s that there’s a missing Kasra with the shadda on a letter.

It’s important to note that whether underneath the shadda itself or below the letter completely, the kasra is still present - you might just have to look a little harder for it if it’s not a script that you’re used to. Most of the time, the visual differences we see in tashkeel come from different - but correct - ways of writing Arabic. Take the two images below for example:

In both instances, the first letter (lam) has a shadda with a kasra accompanying it, however in one, the kasra sits directly under the shadda while the other has the kasra beneath the letter. In both cases, they’re correct!
