How do I download a tafsir?
Tarteel does not download a tafsir for you. The first time you open tafsir in Tarteel, you only see the Tafsir Settings button. To download a tafsir:
In the Quran reader, press and hold any ayah.
Tap Tafsir.
Tap Tafsir Settings.
Under Available Downloads, tap a language to open it, then tap the tafsir you want.
The tafsir moves to the Downloaded list at the top of the screen. You can download as many tafsirs as you want. You can also open the same tafsir list from Settings → Downloads → Tafsir.
How do I read the tafsir of an ayah?
To read the tafsir of an ayah in Tarteel:
In the Quran reader, press and hold the ayah.
Tap Tafsir.
Tarteel shows the tafsir of that ayah from every tafsir you downloaded, one after the other. The name of each tafsir is shown below its text.
How do I compare tafsirs?
To compare tafsirs in Tarteel, download two or more tafsirs from Tafsir Settings. When you tap Tafsir on an ayah, Tarteel shows the explanation from each downloaded tafsir together, so you can read how different scholars explain the same ayah.
How do I remove a tafsir?
To remove a tafsir from Tarteel, open Tafsir Settings, find the tafsir in the Downloaded list, and delete it. The tafsir moves back to Available Downloads, and you can download it again at any time.

Is tafsir a Premium feature in Tarteel?
Tafsir is not a Premium feature. All 45 tafsirs in Tarteel are free for every user.
Can I read tafsir without an internet connection?
You can read a tafsir offline after you download it. You need an internet connection only to download the tafsir.
I tapped Tafsir and nothing appears. Why?
No tafsir is downloaded yet. Tap Tafsir Settings and download at least one tafsir, as shown in "How do I download a tafsir?" above.
Why does Tarteel say there is no tafsir attached to this verse?
Some tafsirs explain several ayahs in one passage. When this happens, the tafsir for the ayah you opened is inside the passage for the ayah before it or after it. Open the ayah before or after to read it.
My downloaded tafsirs disappeared. What happened?
If the tafsir files are missing from your phone, for example after you restore your phone from a backup, Tarteel clears the whole Downloaded list. To get your tafsirs back, download them again from Tafsir Settings.
Does Tarteel have Quran translations too?
