How to activate Mistake Detection

Updated over a month ago

It may be that you've subscribed to Premium but you're not seeing Mistake Detection in action while reciting in Tarteel. No problem, this is easily resolved! Simply go to Settings, navigate to Recitation, and enable Detect Mistakes. If you prefer, you can also enable Detect Tashkeel (diacritics) in the same menu. When reciting with Tarteel, the app detects and highlights mistakes in your reading in real-time. Mistaken words are highlighted with red coloring and marked with a dotted underline. Once you correct the mistake, the underline disappears, but the red color remains. This helps you track which words you mispronounced or misread and have since fixed. If the app is not identifying your reading mistakes, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Verify the "Detect Mistakes" feature is enabled:

    • Go to the app’s settings menu.

    • Locate the "Detect Mistakes" option.

    • Ensure the feature is toggled ON.

  2. Check your settings:

    • Make sure you are using the latest version of the app.

    • Verify microphone permissions and audio input settings to ensure they are not interfering with the feature.

  3. Contact support:

    • If troubleshooting steps fail, reach out to the Tarteel support team for further assistance.
