How to request a refund

The steps to get a refund depend on where you paid: on the Tarteel website, in the Apple App Store, or in Google Play.

How do I know where I paid for Tarteel Premium?

Check the receipt email for your Tarteel Premium payment:

  • A receipt from Stripe means you paid on the Tarteel website. Stripe is the company that processes payments on tarteel.ai.

  • A receipt from Apple means you paid in the Apple App Store.

  • A receipt from Google Play means you paid in Google Play.

How to request a refund for a Tarteel website purchase

If you paid for Tarteel Premium on the Tarteel website, you can request your refund yourself. You do not need to contact us.

  1. Go to tarteel.ai/account. Log in with the same Tarteel account that you used to pay.

  2. Select Request Refund.

If the refund is eligible and request is successful, the screen will show "Your refund has been processed." and you will also receive a confirmation email at the email address of your Tarteel account.

If the screen says "Refund unavailable", it also shows the reason. If you have questions about the reason, contact us through the chat at the bottom of this page.

What happens after a Tarteel website refund

  • We refund the full amount of your last charge to the card or payment method that you used.

  • The money usually reaches your account in 5 to 10 business days. Your bank controls this time.

  • Your Tarteel Premium subscription is cancelled at once. You lose Premium right away, not at the end of your billing period. The app can take a short time to show the change.

  • If you manage a Family Plan, all Family Plan members also lose Premium. We send each member an email.

How long is the refund eligibility for a Tarteel website purchase?

The table below shows the refund eligibility for Tarteel website purchases. The time limit starts from the date of your last charge:

Your last charge

Refund Eligibility

The first payment for a new subscription

14 days after the charge

A renewal payment (monthly or yearly)

7 days after the charge

Example: your yearly plan renewed on 1 March. You can request a refund until 8 March.

These rules also apply to Tarteel website refunds:

  • Only the Family Plan manager can request a refund for a Family Plan. Family Plan members cannot.

  • Gift cards cannot be refunded. This includes Premium that you got from a gift card.

  • If you opened a dispute with your bank about the charge, the Request Refund button does not work. Contact us through the chat at the bottom of this page.

  • For Tarteel Alim, you can request a refund for a paid contribution. If your Alim contribution is $0, there is nothing to refund.
