This article explains how to take a break in the middle of a test, what happens when Tarteel pauses a test automatically, and how to end a session.
Pausing and Resuming
Tap the pause button to pause your test at any time. Pausing keeps everything in place: your score, your streak, your mistakes, and your position in the current question. Tap play to pick up exactly where you left off.
Just like when pausing a session in recite mode, when a test is paused, two buttons appear at the bottom right:
Stop: ends the test and opens your results
Play: resumes the test where you left off
Why Did My Test Pause on Its Own?
If Tarteel hears no recitation for 30 seconds, the test pauses automatically.
Your test has not ended and nothing is lost. It's just waiting for you. Tap play to resume from the same spot.
Ending a Test
First pause the Test, then tap the small red stop button next to the play button to end the test. The test ends immediately and you’ll see your results for that session.
Switching to another mode (for example, back to Recite or Listen) also ends your test, even a paused one.
Ended a test early by accident? Tap Keep Reciting on the results screen to resume the session where you left off.
If you ended the test early, the results screen offers two buttons:
Keep Reciting: resumes the session where you left off
End: finishes the test and closes the results screen
